FORMAT OF PLAY Age Group Singles and Doubles, Semi-finals, Finals & Prize Presentation.
VENUE : Yau Yat Chuen Garden City Club Tennis Courts
EVENTS : 1. Open Boy’s Singles
2. Open Girl’s Singles
3. Open Men’s Singles
4. Open Men’s Doubles
5. Open Ladies’ Singles
6. Open Ladies’ Doubles
7. Open Mixed Doubles
* If the number of entries or groups is less than 4, the event will be cancelled.
PRIZES : Trophies will be awarded to the Champion, 1st Runner-up and Double 2nd Runner-up of each division.
ELIGIBILITY : YYC Members only
Junior Group : Aged between 11 – 17 ( born between 1/1/2003 and 31/12/2009. )
Adult Group : Aged 18 or above ( born on 31/12/2002 or before. )
ENTRIES : Each participant must submit an INDIVIDUAL entry form on or before 28/4/2021 ( Wednesday ).
RULES & : * The ITF’s & HKTA’s rules for Tennis Competition are applied.
REGULATIONS 1. All matches will be played in one normal knock-out set (7-point tie-break at 6 games all).

Normal scoring applies at deuce.

2. Seed schedules are placed according to the result of 2020 Tennis Tournament.
3. “SLAZENGER” Tennis Balls will be exclusively used in the competition.
PROGRAMME : 1. An open ballot will be held at 3:00pm on 30/4/2021 (Friday) at Multi-purpose Room 1.
OF PLAY 2. Participants must report to the registration at least 15 minutes before the event starts.
3. Programme of play will be posted on the notice board of Recreation Department.
4. The first match will be started at 12:00nn.
( Players who are late for more than 15 minutes will be regarded as withdrawing from the match. )
POWER OF : The Tournament Committee reserves the right to postpone or cancel any of the events due to
TOURNAMENT an unforeseen situation.
REFEREE : All decisions of the Official Referee, appointed by the Committee, are final in matters pertaining
to the tournament.
DRESS CODE : Each player is required to dress in proper sports wear and clean, flat, non-marking rubber-soled

sport shoes.

RESPONSIBILITY : The Club will not be responsible for any damages or personal injuries arising from the tournament.
INCLEMENT : If unsteady weathers occur, including thunderstorm, rain or tropical cyclone signal No. 3 or above is
WEATHER Hoisted, at 2 hours before the reporting time for preliminary round of competition, all matches on that
ARRANGEMENT day will be cancelled with no rematches.
